6-Year Gastric Bypass Anniversary: My Journey to Self-Discovery and Personal Growth

🌟 Good Morning, Gorgeous! 🌟

Thank you for taking a moment to read this. Recently I celebrated a significant milestone for me – it’s been 6 years since I underwent gastric bypass surgery. 🎉✨ Reflecting on this anniversary, I’m reminded of the hopes and dreams I had back then, and how many of them I’ve turned into reality. There’s so much joy in that, but I also feel a lingering sadness. We can’t change who we were, and not everyone will join us on this new journey – and that’s perfectly okay. 🌈💖

After my surgery, my life on the surface seemed perfect: I was losing weight, thriving in a new job, and achieving nearly every goal I set. Yet, underneath it all, I was struggling with my mental health. When my husband fell ill and spent a week in the hospital, I hit a dark place. To pull myself out, I had to do deep emotional work – and honestly, I’m still working on myself, and probably will be for the rest of my life. 🌿💪

I realized I had been holding onto half-truths and outdated beliefs that no longer served me. I was lost, unsure of who I was. For the first time since my teenage years, I put down all the “balls” I was juggling – and some of them I decided never to pick up again. 🎯 I had to reassess what I truly believed, what I valued, and whether I deserved the kind of connections I hoped for.

I found that to grow, I needed to let go of old, limiting beliefs and transform those broken parts of myself. It’s a continuous journey, but one that’s so worth it. 🌟

Now, I’d love to hear from you: What beliefs or habits are you ready to let go of to create space for new, positive changes in your life? Share your thoughts in the comments! Let’s support each other on this journey of growth and self-discovery. 💬💖
