Curly Girl

Sooooooooooo I have spent the last 15-20 years of my life burning my hair straight on a daily basis. I have always had fizzy hair and every morning for my whole adult life I have blow dried it straight or at the very least – worn it up so that I didn’t have to deal with it. My baby sister embraced her curls last year and it kind of got me thinking about my own hair. Would it be curly if I treated it right? Lets be honest – I have zero idea how to look after curly hair. It’s just basically like a wild hot mess on my head if I don’t burn the fizz straight so that’s what I have done. Who knows how to look after curls? Not me!

Well last night I did some reading and I have decided to give the Curly Girl method of hair care a good ole fashioned crack. I decided to give my hair a month and see what would happen. This is what took place after wash number one with conditioner 😳 …. it’s weird for me seeing me with curls so be kind everyone 🥳🤣

And this is how it looks the morning after

I need to go and get some products for curly hair because it would seem that is why I have struggled with my hair for years. I was stopping it from being what it truly wanted to be …. a nest on my head. Look out Hermione Granger – my hair is practically sizzling with magic today 😆 So in the spirit of embracing me as I am – I solemnly swear that I shall not burn my hair for a month! No laughing if you see me in public! This is my newest “facing my fears and doing it anyway” thing 🌟 say it with me everyone – AUTHENTICITY!

Love Tash xx
